By the end of the year the 29 ViK companies in Bulgaria will be transformed into joint-stock companies. Shares of the companies will be held by foreign investors too.

Seven companies from England, France and Germany have declared their interest in the privatization of Water Supply and Sewerage Ltd. - Varna, representatives of the consulting company Arkadis reported. The Dutch consortium is working on the project per which the Varna-based company is due to re-registered as a joint-stock company within a month. The ideal option for attracting investments to Varna city will be to increase the equity capital of WSS by the size of the declared by the potential investor, Arkadis pointed out.

The new manager of Vodosnabdiavane i kanalizacia Varna is Mr. Georgi Janev. He was born on January 10, 1959 in Provadia. He has graduated from Asen Zlatarov institute.

The total number of the candidates for participation in the competition for election of a concessioner of ViK in Varna and Shoumen is 7. All 7 candidates are foreign companies - the French Leonel-des-o, the British International Water, Seven Trent International, Anglian Water, Buy Water Capital and the consortium General-des--o and Berliner Wasser. Thames Water has submitted offer in partnership with ABB. The final discussion will be led with 2 or 3 of the candidates.
