The Municipal Council of Bourgas requested an investigation of the financial state of all nine Municipal companies in the city. In a term of one month will be investigated the financial reports of the companies. The control over the financing of the municipal companies will cease the attempts for secret financing from the budget.

The municipal company Hlyab i Hlebni Izdeliya - Burgas is going to mortgage its property against a credit of BGN 250 thousand. This information was disclosed by the Director of the company Mr. Dimitar Terziev. The money from the loan will be used for the sinking of debts of the company from previous periods to suppliers of flour and power electricity.

Burgas is owner of seven companies, with business activity in manufacturing and services, and ten medical companies. They employ thousands of people. Unfortunately, in 2007 many of them were facing bankruptcy. With effective management they improved financial discipline and after implementation of a number of austerity measures to date, they have stabilized and even have the opportunity to invest in their future. Own capital invested by the companies in machinery, equipment and improvement of buildings in 2012 reached over BGN 3 million. Burgas Municipality even provided healthcare companies for the purchase of equipment and facilities amounting to BGN 300,000. Larger investments made last year were in Bread and Bread products SPLTD, Chistota Bourgas SPLTD, Bourgas Markets SPLTD, Obreden complex - Burgas SPLTD, Burgasbus SPLTD.

Auction in the heart of the park A plot with an area of 1.1 acres in Bourgas’ sea garden, where a skyscraper ought to be built, is announced for sale at a public tender by a private bailiff. The reason for the sale is unserviced loan to the Bulgarian-American credit bank (BAKB), secured by mortgages on the property totaling EUR 5.5 million. The tender starts at an initial price of BGN 1 662 375. Candidates for the plot may hand out offers within the standard one-month term. Opening of offers is scheduled for the 12 of July in the regional court in Bourgas. The plot for sale in the place of the ex-restaurant Vodenitsata in the sea garden in Bourgas, where tears ago a 154-meters skyscrapers should have been erected. The very property is located at a distance of 70 meters from the sea shore in the heart if Ezeroto park. Construction parameters of the place were changed with adoption of the new general plan of Bourgas in 2011. Now the site of 1.1 ha permits construction of a building with a maximum floor area of 500 square meters. Thus it is logical that the price of the land is also lower than before
