The Ministry of Health has announced competitions for the selection of heads of 5 hospitals, as well as the management of the commercial company BUL BIO, which represents the production department of the National Center for Communicable and Parasitic Diseases. The announced procedures are related to both expiring mandates and the submission of applications for release, the dropping of nominations and the need to fill the boards of directors of the companies. In the district hospital in Sofia - "MBAL St. Anna - Sofia" a competition has been announced for the selection of an executive director and a representative of the state on the Board of Directors. In the university hospital in Plovdiv - "UMBAL - Plovdiv" the procedure is for the selection of the entire board of directors, which consists of three people. The other three hospitals, in whose management changes are to be made, are "MBAL Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov - Lovech", "SBR - Burgas Mineral Baths" and "National Cardiological Hospital". A competition has also been announced for the selection of a liquidator of the company VIMEDIT EOOD - Vidin. It deals with the installation of medical equipment. The Ministry of Health manages 54 joint-stock companies, with competitions held for 36 of them already in 2024, and for others - new ones are forthcoming - from August 2025 to March 2026.
