Haskovo has become part of Trakia economic zone Haskovo has become part of the largest industrial zone in Bulgaria Trakia economic zone. The municipality joined the large-scale project after the signing of a memorandum between it and the management of the company Cluster Thrace economic zone. Trakia economic zone’s accumulated experience will be used to create a business zone near Haskovo, announced the mayor Good Belivanov. Negotiations with the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) are currently being held for full support of the project. Currently Trakia economic zone employs over 140 enterprises and investments have reached EUR 1.5 billion. To the industrial area recently joined and Burgas.
