| Bulgarian express delivery company Speedy said its preliminary non-consolidated net profit rose 8.2% over the year to 9.4 million levs in 2014. Non-consolidated operating revenues grew 18.8% to 78.5 million levs last year, while sales revenues increased 16.7% to 76.7 million levs, Speedy said in a preliminary financial report. Revenues from operations on the domestic market accounted for 85.13% of the total. The company's non-consolidated operating profit amounted to 10.4 million levs in 2014, up by 7.6% compared to the previous year. The number of shipments it handled last year stood at 76,721, an increase by 16.72% over the year. Earnings per share amounted to 1.75 levs at the end of 2014, compared to 1.94 levs a year earlier.Speedy's shares were trading 3.06% higher at 32 levs on the Sofia stock exchange at 1240 CET on Monday. | Speedys Balkan expansion
Bulgarian courier company Speedy will work for development of a network in Turkey. In few days time it will begin to offer services with a joint price between Bulgaria, Greece and Romania. Until now Speedy has been offering uniform prices for deliveries from and to Bulgaria and Romania. Now Greece will be added in, too. Another important new service is the companys partnership with one of the largest pallet networks in Europe- Palletways. In that way from July Speedys offices will offer their customers direct transportation of pallet deliveries to each country in Europe. Terms for delivery from and to Greece will be up to 48 hours. The same is valid for packages to and from Bulgarian and Romanian regions-deliveries will be made no matter whether they are from Bucharest or Sofia or are out of the capital cities. The service is with the same price for Bulgaria, Greece and Romania and is available from the 1st of June. | ulgarian provider of express delivery services Speedy [BUL:0SP] said on Wednesday it will pay a gross dividend of 1.05 lev ($0.60/0.54 euro) per share for 2014. Speedy will distribute as dividend a total of 5.6 million levs, it said in a statement published on its website. | Logistical Center to Be Built near Stara Zagora under JESSICA initiative
PIT BOX EOOD will build a logistical center in the southern village of Madzherito, Stara Zagora Municipality, under a EUR 1.9 M project financed under the EUs JESSICA initiative. Societe Generale Expressbank and the Regional Urban Development Fund have granted a 15-year investment loan of EUR 1 942 930 to PIT BOX EOOD under the JESSICA initiative (Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas), according to a media statement. The co-financing provided by the bank amounts to EUR 1 298 700. The logistical center will be leased to Speedy, the largest Bulgarian courier company, under a long-term contract. The logistical center will support the pallet services of the company, one of the swiftest developing business lines of Speedy. The modern logistical center will be built on the territory of the former state-owned poultry processing plant near Stara Zagora on an area spanning 5400 square meters. | International freight carrier Palletways will serve Bulgaria
One of the biggest and fastest developing networks of express freight carriers in Europe- Palletways announced that it is expanding its range of its present services in Europe as it adds in its group Bulgaria and Romania. The companys interest for Romania and Bulgaria is not occasional. Market of postal services is among the most dymanic in the country, as for the past 2014 it has grown by 16% in terms of revenues. Increase of revenues on the market is explained by mainly upward trend in courier shipments, which increased by nearly 22%. Major factor is e-commerce. In Bulgaria, Great Britain -based Palletways is partner of the courier company Speedy. The partnership was announced by the courier company in this spring, as of July offices of the courier propose to its clients direct transportation of pallet deliveries to all countries in Europe. Managers expectations are that pallet deliveries will contribute even more to good results and development of Speedys regional business. | Bulgarian express delivery co Speedy 9-mo cons net profit up 23%
Bulgarian express delivery company Speedy posted nine-month consolidated net profit of BGN 7.36 million, up from BGN 6.0 million booked a year earlier. Consolidated operating profit rose to BGN 9.4 million in the January-September period from BGN 6.9 million in the year-ago period. Total revenues climbed up to BGN 87.7 million from BGN 53.5 million in the first nine months of 2014. Total assets slightly rose to BGN 81.3 million at the end of September, from BGN 79.3 million a year earlier. Speedy plans to expand its office network in Romania and other neighbouring countries, as well as to develop new services, the company also said. In July, the company said it plans to invest BGN 3-5 million in Romania - in its fleet and in logistic centres.
