| Global Tours - Bulgarian Tourist Company bought Europe Hotel in Sunny Beach for EUR 9 million
The company Global Tours - Bulgarian Tourist Company is the new owner of hotel Europe in Sunny Beach. The company bought the hotel from Synergon Holding for more than EUR 8.9 million. The deal is the fourth largest in the region for the past 3 years and the trend continues for Bulgarian investors to own hotels in our sea resorts. The 14-storey hotel Europe is situated in a very good location - in the central part of Sunny Beach, on the first line to the beach. It has a total built-up area of over 10 thousand sq. m. and has more than 150 rooms and suites, swimming pools, restaurants, retail outlets. The hotel will work in the coming summer, fulfilling already signed contracts. After that, a renovation will be launched and will be carried out in 2 stages. Around EUR 3-3.5 million of investment in the first stage is envisaged. The first phase will be completed before the summer of 2019. During the second stage of the reconstruction - in 2020, another EUR 4.5 million will be invested, foreseeing the plans of the new owner. The goal is to lift the hotels categorization from 3 to 4 stars. For the time being, it has not been decided whether it will develop its own brand, or seek partnership with a large international chain. Source: news.bg (26.03.2018) |
