At least BGN 20 thousand fine will have to pay Sofiyska Voda JSC because last year it did not make the required number of water microbiological samplings. This is the minimum amount of penalty for the act drawn up by the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC), said yesterday Milena Milanova, a commissioner in the energy regulator. There is an audit running in all water companies in the country. The inspection in Sofiyska Voda has been running for a month. There will be fines for two more companies as well. The water supplying company in Stara Zagora is fined because it has not installed gauges at the entrance of the system. Thus it was impossible to determine the accurate water losses included in the price of water. The third act is for Water Supply and Sewerage - Varna because water-flow meters did not pass metrological verification.
