"ViK-Varna" is seeking state aid for the implementation of a project to provide additional water to the city, after the quantities from the "Kamchia" dam were limited since October, and its condition is currently critical. The difference can be obtained from the Devnenski springs, but pumps will be needed. The entire investment in the project will be between 30 and 50 million leva and the company is not able to provide it, announced the manager of "ViK-Varna" Eng. Vesselin Rusev. If funds are not found, the supply of Varna during the summer season, when consumption jumps by nearly 40%, is not guaranteed, Rusev pointed out. The supply of the city from the Devnenski springs will increase the price of water, but will eliminate the risk of shortage. The losses in the network in Varna are currently between 50 and 60%, but with the implementation of the water cycle project they will decrease by about 20 percent.
