With an investment of over BGN 9 million, "Waterworks" - Haskovo will reduce losses During the new regulatory period 2022-2026, "Water Supply and Sewerage" EOOD, Haskovo plans significant investments in order to reduce losses and achieve good quality of drinking water. In the business plan of the water supply operator, it is proposed that the complex price of the services /supply of water, removal and treatment of waste water/ for this year should increase from BGN 3,524/m3 with VAT to BGN 4,758/m3 with VAT. The offered price is below the level of social tolerability for the area - BGN 4.97/m3 with VAT, KEVR notes. In order to achieve an improvement in the quality of plumbing services, the company must, in the period 2022-2026, accumulate the relevant revenues to ensure that the goals will be achieved. One of the main reasons for the price increase is the significantly increased costs of materials and external services in 2021-2022, among which are the dramatically increased costs of supplying electricity from the free market. Another factor is the 14.83% annual wage growth of the water supply operator employed in the agreement signed between NBS "Vodosnabditel" - KNSB, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRRD) and "Bulgarian Water Supply Holding" EAD. During the regulatory period "Water Supply and Sewerage" EOOD, Haskovo will implement an investment program in the total amount of BGN 9.09 million, of which BGN 7.06 million in public water supply systems and facilities.
