The potential of the route will be enhanced after the implementation of a project that will provide rail connectivity between the ports in Northern Greece and the Bulgarian ports of Burgas, Varna and Ruse. Abu Dhabi Ports Group representatives were adamant that it is very important for them that logistics use the opportunities of intermodal transport. Abu Dhabi Ports Group operates 36 ports in Europe, Asia and Africa and has over 100 ships. It owns and operates in industrial zones with an area of 550,000 square km, which is four times more than the territory of Bulgaria. Their potential investment in Bulgaria would turn our country into a transport hub in the Balkans.
